Casualty 1909

I missed the first series of this show and I haven't seen all of the current series but what I have seen has been fantastic. The insight it gives into turn of the century medicine is fantastic, the drama is gripping yet always believable, the acting is consistently good and the cinematography is great considering the majority of the story takes place in a close locale.

If you can handle the blood and the screams of the patients (anesthetic's one of the areas of weakness at this time) then I thoroughly recommend you watch this programme.

The full series* is available on BBC iPlayer.
