Pink in Concert

I've got a ticket to go see Pink! Yay!

I've been listening to Seth Lakeman a lot this week and watching some live videos of him on Youtube prompted me to have a look on his site to see if he was doing any live performances in my area. Would you believe, he is. I'm taking my parents to see him in November.

Before I clicked to purchase the tickets on Ticketline I thought I'd check the Pink tour listings, with very little hope that there'd be any tickets left - I tried to buy tickets for her summer UK performance the very day they came out and was beyond furious to find out that they'd all gone and people were already selling them for three, four, five times the price. That's officially sworn me off Ticketmaster (just realised as I was typing that it was Ticketmaster that I first tried) as it was their own resale site getmein.com that was full of all those criminally high-priced tickets.

Anyway, would you believe there was ONE concert that still had the buy tickets option AND it was at a venue that I wouldn't have to drive six hours to reach! WOO HOO!!! You've never seen anyone move so fast, I swear. I'm glad my mum was in because despite a speed-of-light room ransacking I couldn't find my bank card. Go mummy with her organisation! ONE ticket to see Pink secured! I must have got the very last ticket available because 'buy tickets now' was replaced by 'please try again later' when I revisted the gig list after I bought it.

The happy post-Pink-ticket-purchase high also gave me enough energy to go down to our new house and get painting after I'd finished skipping about here so...music must be good for the soul!

EDIT: Just checked getmein.com (a Ticketmaster company) and it's £70+ for seats that are worse than the one I got in the first tier for £35+ fees. Ticketmaster shouldn't be allowed to do this.
